Bollinger Motors Shuts Down, Trucks and Equipment Go to Auction
We've moved Bollinger to Dead on the tracker. The company that looked like it had survived its 2025 receivership didn't: Bollinger Motors laid off its employees and closed its doors in November 2025, then re-entered receivership shortly after.
What Happened
- November 2025: Layoffs and closure. B4 production ends, and suppliers sue over unpaid bills.
- January 2026: Back in receivership, with 20 B4 trucks seized.
- Spring 2026: The seized 2025 B4 trucks and manufacturing equipment go up for court-ordered auction.
- Parent company Mullen Automotive, now renamed Bollinger Innovations, is also in receivership.
What It Means
The consumer B1 and B2 were canceled years ago, and the commercial B4 pivot that kept the company alive is now over too. The B5 Class 5 truck planned for 2026 is effectively dead with it.
Bollinger is the second entry on this tracker, after Lordstown, where a 2025 "emerged from receivership" headline turned out not to be the end of the story. We've updated the truck page, cut the score to 1/10, and rewritten the red flags.
